Around 7 years ago we discovered la Chicha and we keep including this Peruvian genre in our sets. Barbes Records recently released The Roots of Chicha 2, the second volume which focuses more in the urban aspect of the music than the amazonian part as the first volume was. The album features more underground bands, but still with crazy names like in the first one. Check out this tune, it's mad.
