El pasado mes de Diciembre nos dimos un rol por República Dominicana, y como ya es tradición fuimos en busca de los sonidos de este lugar. Así que el primer día directo a buscar sonidos a las calles. Nos encontramos con cosas típicas como el merengue, bachata, otros ritmos locales que tal vez no son tan populares o no se escuchan tanto fuera de RD pero que suenan heavy en este lugar como el mambo y el Gaga (genero musical de Haiti -Rara-, llevado a RD donde se conoce como Gaga).
En RD la música no para de sonar en las calles, playas, bares, carreteras, colmados (pequenas tiendas ), coches, es una gozadera continua y como era fin de año la gozadera era doble. Estas son unas imágenes y algunos sonidos de lo que es RD estos días. Descarguen las rolas, a ronear, cervezear y a balilar.

Last December we went to Republica Dominicana and to follow the tradition in every trip, we went straight to the streets in search of the sounds from this place. We found the typical stuff like merengue and bachata, and other local sounds very popula in RD but not outside the country like mambo and Gaga (music genre from Haiti imported to RD known as Gaga there).
Music never stops in RD, you can hear it in the streets, beaches, bars, colmados (little stores), cars, a non-stop gozadera and since it was the end of the year, the gozadera was even better. These are some images and sounds of RD these days. Download the songs, get your rum and beer and dance.

if you prefer to sit then sit, but if you are not used to meditating, or sitting quietly doesn't sound like fun, put on some music and dance while you do the visualization, and if you want to do it at some other time, or picture curing some other illness that's fine too. yoko will be joining the meditation by visualizing all of us dancing with joy to celebrate the world without cancer. all variations are welcome. this is really just being done with a wish for all beings to be cured of all illnesses and to find true lasting happiness.
i'll also be saying prayers for the earthquake victims in tibet, so join in on that if you can too.
