The Bay

Just got back from "The Bay"(San Francisco Bay Area) Spent much of my time hanging out in Oakland where the music and party scene is jumpin off. Here is a random selection of some new things I was digging. First, Droop-E (son of E-40)dropped a mixtape called Black Diamond Life that is gonna be my Spring anthem. Check this video out of "Hungry" from the album. The album samples Sade's Black Diamond and since Sade doesn't let folks sample her work the album by Droop-E is for free. The group Zion I is another favorite from The Bay. This reggae infused track "Many Styles" is one of the many stunnas on the album "Atomic Clock". Of course a trip to the Bay Area is not complete without listening to some E-40. Check out this video for "Bitch" featuring Too Short. It also has some turf dancing in the video which is catching fire across the nation. The Turf Feinz video went viral on You Tube a while back, check it out in all its glory. This is just a small sample of what is coming out of The Bay. Look out for future posts from this diverse music scene.
